lectures that I just had on hormones for women and longevity. Dr. Salome Muzgati from Europe and an excellent gynecologic surgeon and hormone optimizer had really great messages to have. I think the first of those, which is very important, was that you should start investigating hormones and investigating hormone replacement in premenopause for the athletes, and perimenopause. You know,

the WHI had said that you need to wait until women are no longer having any menstrual cycles before you do hormones. And that data is just not correct. And so Dr. Moscati went and provided a lot of education regarding this, and I think it's very, very important. Next up, we had Dr. Jessica Shepard,

who if you don't know Dr. Jessica Shepard, she's one of my favorite longevity docs and is also really quite a hero in the space and is very famous. And she went to talk about muscle mass. That's right. Muscle mass matters. And if your muscle mass goes down, guess what? Your aging suffers, your longevity suffers, and hormones,

whether it's estrogen or testosterone, are essential for bone health and muscle health. So what did she say? Again, to reiterate, Investigate hormones in the athletic girl who's not having great cycles. Investigate hormones in the young lady who was having polycystic ovarian syndrome, especially in them because they need progesterone. In addition, investigate in perimenopause.
1:37
Don't wait until the body degenerates because of hormone deficiency to act on the hormones. Third up was one of my favorite, favorite longevity jocks. And they're all my favorites, right? We've got a group of 350 doctors all over the globe, but I'm going to tell you this. Dr.

Betsy Yerth delivered one of the best lectures out there where she talked about the missing link. You see the missing link? The missing link is mitochondria. And that's right. If you don't optimize your mitochondria, you will not be able to optimize your hormones. How do we optimize mitochondria? Well... We make sure that the bad ones die.
2:14
That's mitophagy. We make sure the good ones thrive and replicate. That's called mitochondrial biogenesis. And we fixed the inner mitochondrial membrane with peptides, which are really important, including SS31. And I'm actually here with another wonderful longevity doc, Dr. Neil Paulvin, who is one of the Jedis on peptides. I wonder if I can get a hi from him.
2:40
You can say hi. There he is. How you doing? So we are here learning about optimizing hormones. And Dr. Yerth said, oh, good. Dr. Johan says, just watched it. Very good. Takeaways from this morning. Start early investigating hormones. Start early treating hormones. Optimize your mitochondria so that way you can make hormones on your own.
3:06
And for those who cannot, Measure, don't guess. Take proper measurements. We use labs like Vibrant Wellness Labs to look at hormones and Dutch tests. And then titrate accordingly because every woman is different, every athlete is different. All right, I am going to sign off. I'm sorry, Dr. Victor, you just missed it.
3:26
Don't worry, I'll edit it and you can see it soon. Takeaways again. Hormone investigation, start early. Premenopause. Hormone replacement, start early. Perimenopause to prevent degeneration. And optimize your mitochondrial landscape, because without mitochondria, nothing else will work. All right, guys, we'll see you soon. I'll give you an update in the afternoon for the afternoon lectures.

Take care, and thanks again to David Liu and the Longevity Docs for bringing us all together.
